AnelleO is harnessing advancements in the speed and scale of 3D printing technology for novel solutions in Women’s Health. Intravaginal Rings (IVRs) offer a unique platform for sustained delivery of therapeutics – a non-invasive, self-administered and retrievable platform that can deliver drugs over a period of weeks or months.
Historical lessons on IVRs point to key gaps and needs in creating truly ‘better’ products, including customized release profiles, and broader molecule compatibility. Our approach utilizes state-of-the- art 3D printing technology to design and manufacture IVRs with novel geometries to allow customized loading and release of a wide variety of molecules, including combinations and biologics. Our lead product has been designed to achieve rapid, cost-effective IVR fabrication for continuous progesterone release for ≥30 days.
AnelleO’s lead product is AnelleO PRO – a self-administered, non-invasive multi-week alternative to daily Progesterone supplementation during ART fertility treatments. AnelleO PRO provides a patient friendly option of a single patient-administered ring delivering PRO for the entire 8-10 week course. AnelleO PRO is anticipated to begin IND-enabling studies in 2021.
