Dr. Jonathon Holt joined AnelleO in 2024 as Acting VP of Product Development. Dr. Holt has over 22 years experience in drug and drug-device development, including 8 years leading nonclinical development of the Dapivirine Vaginal Ring (approved in 6+ African countries for HIV prevention) and as Project Team Lead for development of a Dapivirine-Levonorgestrel Combination Vaginal Ring at IPM (now part of the Population Council). He is an inventor on three patents related to vaginal drug-delivery products and has published on many aspects of vaginal product development and safety assessment. Dr. Holt has contributed nonclinical and drug development expertise in support of multiple IND and NDA submissions through his leadership roles, or as a consultant or advisor to venture-backed, public, and grant-funded companies. Jonathon received a Ph.D. in Psychopharmacology of Alcohol Addiction from Durham University UK and was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill before transitioning to industry and receiving his Board Certification in Toxicology.
